Hello and Welcome!

Hello and welcome to my blog! I'm hoping to become one of those princess blog people. You know, the ones who blog about being a princess, and I'm very much in love with the idea.

Lately, I've been trying to become more accomplished. In the 1800's, if a woman was talented in music, languages, drawing, reciting poetry, reading, embroidery, and so on, she was called an 'accomplished lady'.

I've found a new hobby to help me with this goal. It's called quilling, and it's where you 'quill' little pieces of paper into circles and other shapes, and then make a picture of of them. Here is an example. I made a friend a birthday card yesterday with some of my quilled work, and I do hope she enjoys it.

Another way I'm trying to be more accomplished is by reading more. I'm currently reading Emma by Jane Austen. I'm really enjoying this novel, and I recommend it to anyone who likes her works or anything close to it.

I have considered starting to do calligraphy again. I have a few books showing you how to write the letters, and I do have some pens for the job. :D
